Dearest non readers,
I am doing as the title suggests in the wake of my recent breakup. I was ill prepared for it, but in hindsight I'm not surprised. What the hell, right? There are enough people in the world that will kick you in the nuts for free, why make an emotional investment in someone who wants to do it as a full time job. Contract that shit out.
We of the greater North Texas area also weathered an actual storm last night that bordered on biblical. Really heavy rain but no tornadoes or hail that I am aware of. The upside of life recently is that I have made a concerted effort to stop avoiding things in my life and need to be addressed. Been working on this throughout the summer and things are beginning to take shape.
Now the most important part of your not reading this...the FOOD for God's sake. Tell us what you've been eating so we can not read about it. Alright, alright you talked me into it. I made a bad ass clam linguini on Friday (white sauce not that red shit), It was the business. Went to a barbecue in the downpour last night which was really good (burgers and brats). Tonight is Mesquite Chicken Surprise which will be a surprise because I have no idea what to do with it. Have not had to travel this summer, which has been a nice change of pace, but does put a dent in my dining out. Plus, with Mr. Clay now in another mode of fatherhood so there are no more lunches out.
