Hello friends from the nether regions of the world. Things here today are a bit heated with the presidential election coming soon. What I have realized (and actually known since I was about 14 or so) is that political parties are simply cliques from school or gangs or any other diametrically opposed groups. There is no room for argument or resolution because there is no common ground from which to begin a true dialogue. When two sides are so opposed, there is no room for discussion.
When I was in Hartford a couple of days ago, my friend said, "Holy shit, your a libertarian". In keeping with my new-found core of self, I replied "Yes, I guess I share that point of view". But I hate saying that. I hate being associated with a group as it makes me feel like a number in a large group of people chanting the same thing. I like to think that I am more unique than that. For better or worse. Perhaps I am fooling myself.
All political leanings aside, I am making a very BKoM-centric list of things that need to happen in order for things to be right in my world. Hang on to your seats kids. This will be fun...for me.
